Perry Howard

Perry Howard, 69, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away on May 26, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Perry was born on Dec. 16th, 1953 on Chincoteague Island, Va.  He was a lifelong waterman and a hardworking, soft-spoken man.  He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.  He enjoyed playing pool, hanging out with the "boys" at Ricky's, and going to the beach.  Perry will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Perry is survived by his wife of 32 years, Melody (Yates) Howard; children, Perry Joe Howard (Jenni), Cheron,  Lippert (Andy) all of Chincoteague Island, VA, and Tyler Howard of Leadville Colorado; grandchildren, Tayler, Madison, Lucas, Caitlyn, Cayleigh, Caymen, and Joseph; and two expected great-grandchildren.  
Perry is also survived by his siblings, Roy Howard (Deana), Susie McGee (Nelson), Ricky Howard Sr (Ann), Gary Howard,  Kathy Lewis (Everett), Toni Schwieder (Chuck), Billie Rae Whealton (Jimmy), and Timmy Howard; father-in-law, Richard Yates and many family and friends in the Ridgway, PA, and Chincoteague Island area. And pets, Daisy and Gryffin.  He was predeceased by his parents, Laura (Jones) and Roy Howard, sister, Carol Sue, and mother-in-law, Kathryn Yates.
A Memorial Celebration will be held on May 30th, 2023 at 4 PM at the Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, Va with the Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
