Carol Sue Whealton

Carol Sue Whealton, 72, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away on February 9, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family..

She was born in Nassawadox, VA on February 15, 1947 to Dallas and Dorothy (Faber) Wimbrough.

She retired from the Virginia ABC store on Chincoteague Island, Va after 16 years. She was a great mother, sister, and friend who will be missed greatly.

Carol is survived by her two sons, Michael J. Whealton and his fiance' Denise Abbott of Crisfield, MD, Jason M. Whealton of Chincoteague Island, VA; Grandson, Kevin James Whealton of Sykesville, MD; Sister, Barbara Eck of Chincoteague Island, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Husband, Robert James "Bob Jack" Whealton.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, 2:00 pm with a viewing a hour before from 1 pm to 2pm at the Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA with Rev. Maurice Enright, officiating.

Burial will take place in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
