Elizabeth H. Daisey, 98, of Newport, previously of Chincoteague, VA, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019, at Crystal Bluffs Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at Union Baptist Church in Chincoteague, Virginia, officiated by Rev. Kevin Eley. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Temperanceville, Virginia.
Elizabeth cherished her family and had a deep love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a faithful Christian woman who was devoted to her church, Union Baptist in Virginia.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda L. Guerry and her husband Peter; two sons, Asher L. Daisey and his wife Ellen, Robert L. Daisey and his wife Yvonne; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Annie Cherricks; husband Elwood Daisey, son, Fletcher L. Taylor; sister, Charlotte Sigmon; step daughter Marie, step grandson, Tommy Reed, and 2 grandchildren Peter Guerry Jr. and Michael Taylor.
Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Salyer Funeral Home in Chincoteague, Virginia.
