Jackie Besecker

Jackie Besecker, 78, of Wallops Island, VA passed away on January 13, 2020 at Hartley Hall in Pocomoke City, MD.

She was born on Chincoteague Island, VA on November 6, 1941 to the late John Edward and Ruby (Davis) Holloway.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church, taught fifth grade Sunday School Class for over twenty years. She was also a member of Ruth Sunday School Class and the Chancel Choir.

Jackie is survived by her loving spouse of 59 years, Jerry Besecker Sr. of Wallops Island, VA; two sons, Jerry Don Besecker Jr. of New Church, VA, John Charles Besecker and his wife Susie of Wallops Island, VA; Three Granddaughters, Amanda Besecker of Greenbackville, VA, Brittany Besecker of Onancock, VA, Mary Catherine Besecker of Wallops Island, VA; Brother, William Edward Holloway and his wife Brenda of Milford, DE; Sister, Kathie Derrickson of Chincoteague Island, VA; brother-in-law, Charles Besecker and his wife Marlene of Wilmington, NC; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lori Ann Besecker.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 17, 2020, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, 2:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev. Kevin Eley, officiating.

Burial will take place in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
