William E. Hudson

William E. Hudson, 83, of Atlantic, VA passed away on September 3, 2018 at his residence.

He was born on Chincoteague Island, VA on December 13, 1934 to the late Lloyd and Elsie (Bloxom) Hudson at Chincoteague Island, VA. He retired from the maintenance department for the Town of Chincoteague after 20 plus years. He then drove the mosquito truck for another 17 years.

He was a member of Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, Va and American Legion Post #159.

William is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Daisey and her husband Robert L. Daisey Sr. of Chincoteague Island, VA; son, William Paul Hudson of Atlantic, VA; three grandsons, Robert L. Daisey, Jr. of Palmetto, FL, Timothy Wayne Daisey and his wife Karen Taylor of Atlantic, VA, Joshua Paul Hudson of Modest Town, VA; Granddaughter, Crystal Ann Filipic of Chincoteague Island, VA; Brother, Lloyd Robert Hudson and his wife Helen of Lancaster, PA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by father, Lloyd Joshua Hudson, mother, Elsie Harriett Hudson, loving wife of 57 years, Connie Reed Hudson and six siblings, Florence, Betty, Lula, Pat, Jimmy, and Ira.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018, 2:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev. Kevin Eley, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery on Chincoteague Island, VA.
