William Hamilton "H.E." Whealton

William Hamilton "H.E." Whealton, 62, of Newport News, VA passed away on November 17, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on Chincoteague Island on June 14, 1955 to the late William and Betsy (Heilmann) Whealton.

He served in the United States Navy for 8 years. He worked for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in Newport News, VA .

H.E. is survived by his loving spouse of 44 years, Deena Whealton of Newport News, VA; two sons, Kevin Whealton and his wife Marie of Hampton, VA, Christopher Whealton of Richmond, VA; Daughter, Jessica Whealton and her husband Steve of York County, VA; five brothers; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his foster parents, George and Mannie Ross and four siblings. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, 2:00 pm at the Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA with The Dr. Rev. Allen B. Hopkins, Sr., officiating.

Burial will take place in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
