Anna Belle Bradford, 98, currently of Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Heisinger Bluffs Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on Chincoteague Island, Virginia, on July 4, 1925, a daughter to the late Olin and Mary Linda (Jones) Williams. She was united in marriage to Floyd Bradford, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Anna Belle began her working career at Bird’s Eye in Pocomoke, Maryland. She then began working in the school systems as a cook in Indian Head, Maryland. After her retirement from the school system, she and her husband moved from Indian Head back to her hometown, Chincoteague Island. Anna Belle loved her hometown and was always so happy to return when she had been gone. She eventually moved to Jefferson City to be close to her daughter.
Anna Belle was a loving mother and took great pride in her three daughters. She was very much involved with everything they did, and that love and support trickled into the lives of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She was a homemaker, loved to cook, and was passionate about seafood! She had a loving spirit and sweet soul and will be missed immensely by those who know and love her.
She is survived by her three daughters, Pauline Elizabeth Bradford, Mary Alice (Leroy) Walling, and Judy Faye (Richard) Beswick; grandchildren, David Walling, Carol (Mike) Olas, Jason (Karmen) Walling, Craig (Allejandra) Beswick, and Shannon (Jason) Waller; cousin, James Williams; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Mary Linda; husband, Floyd; and three sisters and their husbands, Nellie (Kenny) Barrett, Bertha Lee (Charles) Matthews, and Alice (David) Bernstein.
A memorial service Will be held At Salyer Funeral Home on Chincoteague Island on October 7th, 2023, at 2 pm.
