Mrs. Annie Rebecca (Becky) Moore, 64, of Chincoteague Island, VA went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 7th, 2009 at Sentara Norfolk General, Norfolk, VA.
Becky was born in Portsmouth, VA on May 10, 1944, the daughter of the late William and Erma L (Savage) Hudson who survives her of Laurel, DE..
She was a member of Union Baptist Church Chincoteague, VA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a true love for the island especially the horses on the island.
Becky is survived by a husband William Lee Moore of Chincoteauge, Va, two daughters, Nancy wife of Jim Adams of New Church, VA, Sara wife of Terry "Toot" Newman of Raeford, NC., and a son,Willie husband of Joanne Moore of Arnold, MD.
Annie is also survived by two sisters, Nancy Detwiler of Onancock, VA., Tammy wife of Brian Lewis of Chesapeake Beach, MD. three brothers, David husband of Charlotte Hudson of Oak Dale, LA., Johnny husband of Fran Hudson of Seaford, DE., Edward husband of Sylvia Hudson of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by Six Grandchildren: Roger Lee Adams and his wife Jessica of New Church, Va, Thomas Adams and his wife Ashley of New Church, VA, Chelsea and Kyle Moore of Arnold, MD, Taylor and Terrell "Liddle Toot" Newman of Raeford, NC and Three Great-Grandchildren: Brenna, Savannah, and Austin Adams all of New Church, VA Several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague, VA, at 2 PM on Friday, February 13th, with Rev. Calvin Lilliston officiating.
Friends are invited to call Thursday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home.
Interment will be held at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperenceville, VA.
