Arne Bendik Breland

Arne Bendik Breland, 81, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away on February 24, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Norway on October 14, 1939 to the late Anders and Sigrid (Skaar) Breland.

He was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Arne is survived by his loving spouse of 57 years, Myrna Breland of Chincoteague Island, Va; two sons, Arne Steven Breland and his wife Peggy of Chincoteague Island, VA, Gary Erik Breland and his wife Anna of Chincoteague Island, VA; three granddaughters, Venke Cowger and her husband Heath of Pocomoke City, MD, Vera Breland of Chincoteague Island, VA, Eva Breland of Chincoteague Island, VA; Two grandsons, Arne Steven Breland, Jr. and his wife Liana of Chincoteague Island, VA, Ivan Breland of Chincoteague Island, VA; great-granddaughter, Aurora Breland of Chincoteague Island, VA; great- grandson, Austin Cowger of Pocomoke City, MD; brother, Harald Breland and his wife Signe of Norway; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021, 2:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA , with Rev. Kevin Eley, officiating.

Burial will take place in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
