Bobby Melvin

Mr. Robert L. (Bobby) Melvin, 67, of Chincoteague Island, VA went to be with the Lord Sunday, February 8th, 2009 at Costal Hospice at the Lake, in Salisbury, MD.
Bobby was born in Chincoteague, Virginia on November 13, 1941, the son of the late Robert F. and Pansy (Merritt) Melvin.
He attended Christ United Methodist Church in Chincoteague, VA.
He owned and operated Melvin's Seafood for over 25 years.
He was the husband of Susie Melvin.
Bobby is survived by a daughter, Mary Lou Williams and her husband Ronnie Lee of Chincoteague Island, VA. , and a son, John L. Melvin and a special friend Lori Goutremont of Chincoteague Island, VA.
He is also survived by Three Grandchildren Heather Lowrey and her husband Todd of Chincoteague, VA, Derek Melvin of Chincoteague,VA, and Samantha Melvin of Chincoteague, VA, and several nieces, cousins, an aunt, and an uncle. He was predeceased by two brothers Royce and Eddie Melvin.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 7-9 PM at Salyer Funeral Home in Chincoteague, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, Chincoteague, VA, at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 11th, with Rev. Travis DeLoach and Rev. Kevin Eley officiating. Interment will follow in the Daisey Cemetery on Church Street in Chincoteague, VA.
