Brian Edward Odell

Brian Edward Odell, 57, of Atlantic, VA, passed away on April 9, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.  

He was born in Salisbury, MD, on March 2, 1968, to the late Kenneth Odell and Patricia (Lyons) Halsey.

Brian graduated from Chincoteague High School in 1986. He worked for NASA as a welder for over 15 years. He was a loving husband, father, pop pop, and friend to many. He was an avid golfer and a die-hard Orioles and Cowboys fan.

Brian is survived by his loving spouse of 18 years, Stacey Odell, of Atlantic, VA; son Kevin Odell (Sydney); grandchildren Iris and Kaleb Odell, of Salisbury, MD; daughter Kylie Odell, of Baltimore, MD; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Willis Halsey, and brother, Kevin Odell.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 12:00 - 1:30 pm at Salyer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Downing Cemetery, Oak Hall, VA, with Pastor Cody Ramsay officiating.
