William Calvin Aycock,85, of Chincoteague Island, VA went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 14th, at his residence.
William was born in GA , on August 3, 1925, a son of the late Mollie (Solomen) and Richard N. Aycock.
He was a member of Church of God Chincoteague Island, VA.
He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard as an E9 Master Chief.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Doris "Dodie" Aycock of Chincoteague Island, VA; three daughters, Jane Speidel and her husband Bill of Chincoteague Island, VA, Roseanne Conner and her husband Bobby of Chincoteague Island, VA, Mollie Westmoreland and her husband Scott of Marion, MD; two stepchildren, Richard Patterson and his wife Brenda of Augusta, GA, Debra Rackley of Berlin, MD; eleven grandchildren, Lisa, Karla, Angie, Kelly, Mary Ann, Jesse, Chuck, Suzie, Jonathan, Brian, Asa; seven stepgrandchildren, Ricky, Shonda, Troy, Brandon, Marie, Helen, Barbara; fourteen great grandchildren, Rebekah, Mary, David, Savannah, Indiana, Katie Jo, Zach, Billy, Kristin, Rachel, Hannah, Peyton, Josh, Jayden; ten step great grandchildren, Summer, Michael, Meagan, Tommy, Emma, Jessica, Alex, Jesse, Tricia, Landon; five great great grandchildren, Madison, Wes, Nathan, Camden, Carter; one step great great grandson, Shawn; brother Johnny Aycock of Baxley, GA; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Claudia Aycock Murray.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Church of God, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Wednesday, May 18th, with Rev. John Thorne officiating and Rev. David Reed.
Interment will be held in Daisey Cemetery Chincoteague Island, VA.
