Carol Lynn Deal

Carol Lynn Deal, 65, of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away on May 29, 2025, surrounded by her children and closest friends at Coastal Hospice at the Lake in Salisbury, MD.

    Carol dedicated her life to the field of nursing and worked as such for nearly 40 years. 30 of which were with Tidal Health -Peninsula Regional Medical Center, recently retiring as Executive Director of Surgical Services in July of 2024. When not working, she enjoyed spending time with her children and friends, traveling, and relaxing at the beach. 

   Carol was born in Baltimore, MD, on August 20, 1959, to the late John Desverreaux Jr. and Bernadette (Bone) Fischer.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Amanda Lynn Bridger (Ben) of Yorktown, VA, and Katie Deal of Chincoteague Island, VA. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Deal, and her parents.

      Visitation will be held Friday, June 20, 2025, from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Salyer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA.

     A Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 am at Saint Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, with Father Sonny officiating.
