She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 11, 1938, where she resided until she left to attend college at Indiana University where she studied music.  In addition to Oklahoma, Carol lived in Vienna Virginia; Sterling, Virginia; Mountainair, New Mexico; Bullfrog, Utah; and Lake Powell, Arizona.
Devoted mother and grandmother, and beloved sister, aunt, and friend, she is survived by her son David and her grandsons, John Walter, Christopher Mitchell and Noah Paul Graziano, her daughter Angela and daughter-in-law, Jesse Wild, and her granddaughters,Taylor Nicole and Lauren Louise Tracy, her sister Debra Frantz, her husband Sam Mecum and their sons Alex and Travis Mecum and Travis's wife, Amanda and their 2 children; her stepsons William, Michael and Chris Farley; and stepdaughters, Gail and Mary Ann Farley and their spouses and children.  Her late husband Bill Farley and her beloved dog, Abbey, preceded her in death and paved the way for her peaceful transition to the next part of her journey.
