Carol Ann Jacob

Carol Ann Jacob, born on October 5, 1947, in Staten Island, New York, passed away on October 28, 2023.

Carol is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Magdalen Dalessio, and her brother Michael Dalessio, Jr. Carol is survived by her husband, Charles (Chuck) Jacob, and her children: Michael Jacob and his wife Cameron, Melissa Haymond and her husband Robert, and James Jacob and his wife Lauren. Her memory lives on through her five grandchildren: Jacob, Natalie, Sophia, Mallory, and Morgan.

In Carol’s early years, she split time between Staten Island and Dingmans Ferry, PA. While on vacation in Florida, she met Chuck, and they married in 1970. The journey of their life together began in many beautiful places throughout Florida, where all their children were born. In the mid-80s, they relocated to Williamsburg, VA, until eventually settling on Chincoteague Island, VA. Carol worked at the Charter Cable office for many years before retiring to care for her extended family. She was also a devoted member of St Andrew’s (the Apostle) Roman Catholic Church on Chincoteague Island, Virginia. Her proudest achievement was undoubtedly raising her children and spoiling her grandchildren. Carol's legacy is one of family, love, and unmeasured generosity, and she will be deeply missed by those fortunate enough to have shared in her life.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Andrew Catholic Church on Saturday, December 2nd at 11am,  with the family requesting donations be made in her honor to St Andrew’s (the Apostle) Roman Catholic Church, Chincoteague Island, VA in lieu of flowers. Carol's memory will continue to inspire those who knew her, and her warm and loving presence will always be remembered.
