Carol Lee Pyle of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Genesis Milford Center in Delaware. She was 72 years old. In preparation for retirement, Carol became a full-time resident of Chincoteague Island in 2021 when she moved to the family-owned property after being a part-time resident since 1988.
Carol was born December 10, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA. She was a graduate of Highland High School in Blackwood, New Jersey. She worked in the legal field for most of her life. She retired in May 2023 from her position as a judicial assistant for the US bankruptcy court in Philadelphia.
Carol joined NALS, the National Association for Legal Support Professionals in 1997 and was a lifetime member. Most recently, she was a member of the Virginia chapter (VALS). She spoke often of the cherished relationships she had with her NALS family and the many travel adventures they experienced together.
Carol enjoyed traveling, shopping, bird watching, and photography. She will be remembered for her generosity, especially to charitable organizations for veterans, children, and animals.
Carol is survived by her sister Barbara Turner (Art), her nephew Eric Underwood (Shauna), her Uncle Al Brown (Nancy), her sweet miniature poodle Belle, and a host of “adopted” nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Lee Pyle, her parents, Marion and Joseph Rudolph, and her Uncle Jimmy Brown (Fran).
Carol’s family would like to thank Delaware Hospice, Genesis of Milford, Delaware, and her friends and neighbors on Chincoteague Island, who helped watch over her for the past two years.
