Carolyn Conklin

 Carolyn Lou Reynolds Conklin, 81 of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away peacefully at her home “Right where she wanted to be” on October 23, 2024.

Carolyn was born on May 26, 1943, in her home here on the island. Carolyn was a very devoted wife to her husband, Richard Conklin Sr, and a loving mother to her children: Jamie Jester, Ritchie Conklin (wife Denise), David Conklin, Mark Conklin (wife Michelle), and Angela Abell (husband Barry), all of Chincoteague Island, VA.

She loved her grandchildren: James Lee Jester, Jessica Tyler, Rebecca Toth, Tara Landi, Taylor Baucom, Avery Conklin, Abby Holston, Taulman Abell, and Hope Abell.

She was fortunate to have great-grandchildren: Kaley Tyler, Emma Tyler, Ashley Landi, Taylor Landi, Alexis Toth, and Ava Toth.

Carolyn was a loyal member of Christ United Methodist Church where she faithfully enjoyed decorating it. And she also “loved” decorating her home!

We know Carolyn will be joyfully reunited in Heaven with her parents, James Ballard Reynolds and Louella Reynolds, her grandparents, and her grandson, Dustin Jester.

Funeral services will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on Chincoteague, VA, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at John Taylor Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
