Charles Dean Smith

Charles Dean "Charley" Smith, 60, of Norfolk, VA passed away on  September 6, 2021 at Sentara Norfolk General Norfolk, VA.  
He was born in Salisbury, MD on August 28, 1961 to Charles and Margaret (Merritt) Smith.
Charles is survived by his loving spouse of 35 years, David Kelley of Norfolk, VA; father, Charles Marvin Smith of Salisbury, MD; sister, Lorie Ann Smith of Salisbury, MD; two nieces, Suzanne Cherrix and her husband Buddy of Chincoteague Island, VA, Lauren A. Meintel of Wheeling, WV; great nephew, Cooper Cherrix of Chincoteague Island, VA; two great nieces, Tatem Cherrix of Chincoteague Island, VA, Lillian Wilson of Wheeling, WV; and a host of friends. 
He was preceded in death by Mother, Margaret Ann Smith.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021, 2:00 pm at the John Taylor Memorial Cemetery, Temperanceville, VA, with Rev. Maurice Enright, officiating.
