Charlotte A. Carpenter

Charlotte A. Carpenter, 88 of Chincoteague Island, VA went to be with the Lord and her husband, Friday, February 24th, while in the company of family members, at her residence. .
Charlotte was born in Chincoteague Island, VA on May 29, 1923, the daughter of the late Lula (Holloway) and Aaron Russell.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church,Rainbow Sisters Sunday School Class, Ladies Aid Quilters, and Accomack Chapter #62 OES.
She was the widow of Raymond H. Carpenter.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne Rae Johnson of Chincoteague Island, VA, Betty Jane Barrett and her husband Wade of Chincoteague Island, VA; three grandchildren, Raymond Johnson and his wife Tamaria of New Church, VA, Jenny Barrett Ward and her husband Tommy of Pocomoke City, MD, Zachary Barrett and his wife Lori of Wallops Island, VA; seven great grandchildren, Elyjah and Kaleb Johnson, Hayley and Kyndall Savage, Kaylynne Napoleone, and Noel and Jackson Barrett; one brother Sam Russell of Chincoteague Island, VA; one sister Faye Guiliano of Salisbury, MD; several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call Saturday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Sunday, February 26th, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held at Daisey Cemetery Chincoteague Island, VA.
