Cinderella M. Gillespie left us on October 20th, 2010, after a ong battle with cancer, to go to her heavenly home. She was a native of Chincoteague Island. She was a member of Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague. She was a homemaker in her latter years. She was a beloved wife and mother. She is survived by her husband of 54 yrs., Richard Gillespie of Chincoteague, a daughter Rosemary Howard of New Church, 2 sons David Gillespie and Richard Gillespie Jr. both of Chincoteague. She is also survived by 2 grandsons, H.M. Howard of Pleasant Gardens, NC and Cody Lazear of Virginia Beach, Va., 2 great-grandchildren Stevie Ray and Melissa Howard of Florida, 2 sisters Hilda Broussard of El Viernes, Miss. and Alice Kaul of Chincoteague Island, Va, and one brother Albert Clark of Chincoteague, VA. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces that she loved. "Cindy" as she was called by her friends was born on Sept. 20th, 1932. She was predeceased by her father Adford Clark, her mother Alice V Clark, 2 sisters Doris Walker and Rosalie Merritt and 1 brother Carlton Clark.
Friends are invited to call Friday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. in Chincoteague, VA
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Saturday, October 23rd, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery Temperanceville, VA.
