David Derrickson, known to many as 'Nunz', passed away on November 20, 2021
He was born on April 17th 1970 in Salisbury, MD to the late Evans and Kathie (Brawley) Derrickson.
He was a member of Union Baptist Church, Accomack Lodge #243 and devoted his time graciously as a member of the Son’s of American Legion Post 159 and the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary.
He graduated Chincoteague High School in 1988 where he was not only a lifelong CHS Pony fan but also a seriously devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, VT Hokies and Dale Earnhardt. Not only was he passionate about his family but also found that Corvettes and Pink Floyd brought great joy to him and you could often see him cruising in his Steeler Yellow corvette jamming to the tunes of his favorite band.
David is survived by his devoted and loving sister, Danielle Nicole Harris and her husband Matt; Nephew, Ethan Harris; Niece, Lydia Harris all of Montoursville, PA; Two Uncles, Rick Brawley and his wife, Kathy of Galion, OH and Woody Brawley and his wife, Teresa of Mabelvale, AR; several cousins and tons of special friends on the Eastern Shore and beyond who will miss his quick smile, kind heart and joking ways and by his sweet kitty, Sanchez. David was preceded in death by his loving parents who he missed greatly and without fail, spoke of them daily.
