Diane Sue Conklin,68, of Chincoteague, Va, passed away Sunday, July 17th, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD.
Diane was born in Staten Island, NY on April 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Emma (Jester) and Walter S. Carpenter, Sr.
She was a member of Church of God Chincoteague Island, VA.
She is survived by three sons, Richard T. Conklin Jr. and his wife Denise of Chincoteague Island, VA, David Wayne Conklin of Chincoteague Island, VA, Matthew Mark Conklin and his wife Michelle of Chincoteague Island, VA; five grandchildren, Jessica Tyler and her husband Charles of Assawoman, VA, Tara Landi and her husband Joseph of CA, Rebecca Toth and her husband Derek of Salisbury, MD, Taylor Conklin of PA, Avery Conklin of Chincoteague Island, Va; five great grandchildren, Kaley, Emma, Ashley, Taylor Rose, Alexis; one brother, Jim Carpenter and his wife Marlene of Chincoteague Island, VA; one sister-in-law, Joyce Carpenter of New Church, VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by an infant son, Scotty Allen Conklin and a brother, Walter S. Carpenter Jr.
Friends are invited to call Tuesday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. in Chincoteague Island, VA.
Interment will be held in John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery Temperanceville, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Church of God, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 20th, with Rev. John Thorne officiating.
