Diane Lee Hall (Tolson), 79, of Temperanceville, VA, went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 24, 2026. She was born in Amsterdam, NY, on January 13, 1947, as the oldest of four children to the late Harry and Edna Tolson. Diane was a loving wife, an amazing mother, and a fantastic grandmother and great-grandmother. She was excited to meet Jesus, and she lived out a faithful life following the Lord with all of her heart and was a longtime member of the Chincoteague Church by the Beach. She served at church in many capacities, including secretarial work in the front office, singing in the choir, leading the benevolence team to help those in need, working with the children during Vacation Bible School, serving in the nursery, and acting in the Easter play, just to name a few. She was known for being the friendly, welcoming lady who greeted everyone she could at Church with a warm, loving smile and tender hug. For years, she served as a caring and loving neighbor, assisting a deaf couple that lived next door by helping them pay bills, coordinating phone calls, taking them to medical appointments, and many other day-to-day tasks. During her working years, her favorite job of all time was serving as a librarian at the NASA Wallops Library, and she cherished those years. She married the love of her life and God’s perfect provision, Rick Hall, on March 06, 1980. They built a wonderful life together and have six children: Brian (Wendi), Scott (Melody), Billy (Tiffany), Melissa, Richie, and Heather (Tony); 14 grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor, Josh, Alexsandra, Kohl, Ethan, Jenna, Isaiah, Logan, Nathan, Charlie, Chris, Ashley, Kelsi, Troy, and Raven. 17 great grandchildren, Grace, Orion, Lucas, Clara, Zoe, Bentlee, Willow, Aubree, Kaylee, Greyson, Brandon, Ryan, Hadley, Milo, Oli, Lexi, and Hayden. In addition to her parents, Diane was predeceased by her brother Bob Tolson and is survived by her two brothers, Tom and Mark Tolson. Celebration of life services will be held on Saturday, 27 June 2026, at 2 pm at Church by the Beach on Chincoteague Island with Pastor Kevin Stanley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church by the Beach, 5252 Woodland Dr, Chincoteague, VA 23336. Services entrusted to Salyer Funeral Home, Inc on Chincoteague Island, VA.
