Donald Jester

Donald  Jester, 90, of Chincoteague Island, Virginia, passed away on  October 21, 2022 at Riverside Shore Health and Rehab.
He was born on November 4, 1931 to the late Douglas and Ann Jester on Chincoteague Island, VA.  
Donald never knew a stranger and loved working on the island, he worked as a teller for The Farmers and Merchant Mercantile Bank, He worked the front desk at the Mariner Motel, and he helped his cousin, Kenny Burton at Tom's Cove Campground. After high school, Donald served for four years in the United States Coast Guard.
Donald was a member of the Union Baptist Church where he was the treasure and the head of his Sunday School class. He sang in the Men's Choir and the Chancel Choir at the Church as well.    
Donald is survived by his wife Grace Ann Gallagher Jester, his sister-in-law Sheila Gallagher, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 6th at 2pm, at the Union Baptist Church in Chincoteague Island, Va with Rev. Eley, officiating.
