Doris W. Bowden,68, of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away Wednesday, October 19th, at her residence.
Doris was born in Crisfield, MD on July 14, 1943, the daughter of the late Hilda M. (Lewis) and William T. Walston, Sr.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church Chincoteague Island, VA .
She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Winfred L. Bowden Sr. of Chincoteague Island, VA; sister Dorothy W. Hare and her husband Donald of Shrewsbury, PA; four stepchildren, Lee, Vicky, Danny, Tia; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call Saturday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. in Chincoteague Island, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Sunday, October 23rd, with Rev. Kevin Eley and Rev. William L. Gregory officiating.
interment will be held at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield, MD following the service in Chincoteague Island, VA.
