Earline Mariner Obituary

Earline Redden Mariner, 70, of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 26, 2023. Born on February 1, 1953, in Crisfield Md to the late Earl F Redden Sr. and Phyliss D Redden.

Earline retired in 2007 after many years of work to enjoy life with her kids and grandkids. She was a lifetime member of Girdletree Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed watching her children when they were kids playing their sports, and it continued with her grandkids with their sports. She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether it was spending the day out in the pool or hot tub, sitting around the fire pit, or going out on the boat just to ride or fish, especially if you were going to catch her fresh flounder for dinner. She loved the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company and dedicated her summers at the Chincoteague Carnival Grounds. There, you could find her handing out cotton candy and candy apples with a smile on her face. In her spare time, she liked to go on wild adventures with her best friend; she loved nothing more than a good road trip.

Earline is survived by her six children: sons Jimmy Mariner (Dawn), Brooks Mariner (Kelly), Jesse Mariner (Cherie), Todd Mason (Regina), and Denny Adkins (Mary Kay). One daughter, Melanie Mariner (Jamie). Eighteen grandchildren Brittany (Jacob), Briaunna, Kyla (Hayden), Kourtney, Dylan (Addison) Brooks Jr (Sarah), Mackenzie (Will), Liam, Landen, Cassie, Kelsey, Hailey (James), Andrew, Brandon, Leighann, Jenna (Joe) Jaylen and Bryanna. Four great-grandchildren Ava, Kayleigh, Connor, and Tyler James (due in April of 2024). One brother, Earl F Redden Jr (Pam), and sister-in-law Cheryl and their children Danielle, Chuckie, Tiffany, Kevin, and their children and spouses. Her best friend Cindy Outten and special family friend Mike Taylor (Oldman). Her beloved cat Smokie.

She is preceded by her parents, Earl F Redden Sr and Phyliss D Redden, and James W Mariner Sr. and Grandmother Viola Redden.

A celebration of life will be held on January 21, 2024, @ 2 pm at Lynnhaven Baptist in Pocomoke City, MD. Pastor Josh Fields and Jimmy Mariner will officiate the service.
