Mr. Earnest L. Bowden, 67, of Oak Hall, VA passed away Monday, January 19th, 2009 at his residence.
Earnest was born in Chincoteague, Virginia on March 3, 1941, the son of the late Norman and Della (Parks) Bowden.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church Chincoteague, VA . He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He touched the lives of those he meet. .
Earnest is survived by a wife Carol Taylor Bowden of Oak Hall, VA, three daughters, Tammy Bowden of Virginia Beach, VA. Evelyn wife of Duane Williams of Westover, MD. Robin wife of Tom Ayres of Pocomoke City, MD. and five sons Timmy Bowden of Chincoteague Island, VA., Chris husband of Barbara Bowden of Chincoteague Island, VA., J.R. husband of Angie Bowden of North Wilkesboro, NC., Jeffery husband of Melissa Bowden of Buffalo, NY., Lloyd husband of Susie Bowden of Oak Hall, VA.
a sister, Patty Bell Bowden of Chincoteague Island, VA. two brothers, Paul Bowden of Chincoteague, VA.,and John Bowden of Texas. Also Thirty-Two Grandchildren, a Great Granchild, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Earnest was predeceased by a Brother Norman "Punky" Bowden and two sisters Paula Bull and Judy Green,
Memorial Service will be held at Downing United Methodist Church, Oak Hall, VA, at 3 PM on Thursday, January 22nd, with Rev. John Sweeney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Eastern Shore 165 Market Street Onancock, VA 23417.
