Edward Charles Walker, 98 years young, passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2025, and is now in the presence of His Heavenly Father. He was born on June 16th, 1927, to the late Asher and Alberta Walker. He was born and raised on Chincoteague, Va.
He was known to many as “Buddy”. To the love of his life, he was known as “Ed”. To his children, “Dad,” and to his grandchildren, “Pop Pop” or “Pop Boy” – a testament to the deep affection and respect he inspired in all who knew him. He was a waterman in his early years and a carpenter by trade for many, many years. He retired and then kept on working. He was strong and, as the saying goes, he was “tough as nails.”
