Eula Mae Lewis Bell went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2021 surrounded by family and loved ones at the age of 88.
Born September 3, 1932 in Chincoteague, Virginia, where she resided for most of her life until her retirement when she moved to Wattsville, Virginia. Eula's greatest love was her family. She worked for the Robert Reed Family Rental Properties and Maddox Family Campground Store. Eula was a member of the Union Baptist Church, and the Daughters of Ruth Sunday School Class on Chincoteague Island, Virginia.
Eula is survived by her children, Judy Young (Nickey) Bernstein, Linda Young (Walt) Wessells, Lois Young Vincent, Robert (Peggy) Snead, and Kevin (Sylvia) Bell; grandchildren, Wendy Griffin, Paul Bernstein, Brandon Bernstein, Sonia Conser, Robert Watson, Jr., Robin Watson, Angie Abell, Tracy Williams, Dean Young, Eva Shallis, Chad Vincent, Brent Vincent, Annastasia Hotaling, Alison Snead, Thomas Snead, Ashley Wiley, Wyle Maddox, and Alexandrea Bell; 35 great grandchildren and 8 great-great- grandchildren; sisters, Shirley J. Taylor and Hallie Francis; several nieces and nephews. Eula was preceded in death by her son, Lloyd Everett Young Jr.; husbands, Robert Snead and James Bell; parents Clifton and Maude Lewis; brothers, Edward Lewis and Claude Lewis; sisters Gloria Jester and Nettie Dennis.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday Evening , July 27 between 7 and 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at The Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague on Wednesday, July 28. at 2 p.m. Burial will be at Mechanics Cemetery.
