Faith Valerie Gregory

Faith Gregory, 84, of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away on November 26, 2024, at her home.  

Faith was born on December 8, 1939, in Woodstock, MD.  She married Rev. William Lynwood Gregory on May 22, 1960, and was happily married for 54 years.

In addition to being a pastor's wife, she was a secretary for a real estate agent in Norfolk, VA, for many years. Upon moving to Chincoteague, she became active in the ministry of Union Baptist Church with her husband, Rev. Gregory.   She was a teacher and active member of the Daughters of Ruth Sunday School class, as well as a member of the Quilters at UBC.  She had a love of music and sang in the church choir there.  Later, she joined the Just Us Singers at St. Andrews Catholic Church along with her husband, Rev. G. She made many friends there and accepted the invitation to join the 3 C's.  

She is survived by her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: 

Valerie Kehoe and children: Haley and Spencer Kehoe

Cyndi McCord and children: Jessica McCord and daughter Billie Renee, and Stephen McCord

Cheri Turner and children: Justin Terry, wife Logan and children Milo and Aerie, and Sarah Turner and daughter Deborah 

Faith was preceded in death by her husband, William Lynwood Gregory.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
