Florence Lula Fish Jester, 95 of Chincoteague, VA passed away Wednesday, December 1st, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD.
Florence was born in Chincoteague, Virginia on October 18, 1915, a daughter of the late Rebecca (Russell) and Emory Fish.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church Chincoteague Island, VA., Rainbow Sisters Sunday School Class, Ladies Aid Quilters, Deborah, Order of Eastern Star, honorable member of Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company, Ladies Auxiliary of CVFC, Bi-County Auxiliary of the Fire Company, Hospice Volunteer, and past president of the State Fireman and Ladies Auxiliary of Virginia.
She is survived by a son Tommy Andrews and his wife Kay of Chincoteague, VA; two grandchildren Randy Birch and his wife Susan of Chincoteague, VA, Archie Andrews and his wife Veronica of Chester, VA; several great and great great grandchildren, great nieces, and great nephews. She is also survived by a niece Wanda Kubic of FL and a nephew John Emory Horner of VA. She is predeceased by two brothers, Dave and Bill Fish and a sister Mildred Horner.
Friends are invited to call Saturday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. with an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Sunday, December 5th, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery Chincoteague, VA.
