Hallie Sue Francis

Hallie Sue Francis, 87, of New Church, VA, passed away on February 9, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.  
She was born on November 23, 1937, to the late Cliff and Maude (Timmons) Lewis on Chincoteague Island, VA.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, and they will miss her greatly. 
Hallie is survived by her loving children, Sherry Watson ( husband John Watson),  Robin McColligan, Larry Francis, and Mary Ann Parks ( fiancé Jerry Taylor); grandchildren, Shannon Schmitt, Terri Lynn Francis, Sandy Francis, and William Parks (wife Emily Parks); several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Marvin J. Francis, second husband, Alfred Lionel Hopkins, son, Terry Francis, and siblings, Nettie Dennis, Gloria Jester, Shirley Taylor, Eula Bell, Claude Lewis, and Edward Lewis Sr.     
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 15th at 11 AM at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
