Harry Mathias

Mr. Harry William Mathias, 87, of Wallops Island, VA passed away Thursday, January 20th, 2011 at his residence.
Harry was born in Berlin, PA on August 31, 1923, the son of the late William and Elizabeth Mathias.
He was a veteran of W.W. II and was very proud to have served his country.
He was the widower of Doris (Knepshield) Mathias.
He is survived by a daughter Sharon L. Merritt and her husband Larry Sr. of Chincoteague, VA, three grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA, at 10 AM on Saturday, January 22nd, with Rev. John Thorne officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chincoteague Church of God Benevolence Fund 6262 Woodland Dr. Chincoteague, VA 23336.
