Holly Parsons, aged 55, of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 7th, 1968 to the late John McDonald and Mary Elaine McDonald. Holly was a graduate of Roxborough High School in 1985. She was a true animal lover who wanted to save them all. In her earlier days, she was a veterinarian technician for multiple hospitals and owned her own dog-walking business. She was always willing to help out anyone and loved anyone who came into her life. She worked any and every job that she could find in order to give her children a great life. She loved her grandchildren and faithful companion, Trump the Great Dane, more than anything in the world. Holly was survived by her husband Amos Parsons of Chincoteague, her sister Elaine McDonald and her son Roland Sharpe of Philadelphia, daughter Christine Murphy and her husband Clifford Murphy, their two children Farrah and Frankie of Wallops Island, VA; son David Haddy and his wife Samantha Haddy, their daughter Dakota of Elizabeth City, NC; her step-daughter Stephanie Downing and her husband Corey Coleman, their children Jeremiah, Jasmine, Jada of Chincoteague Island; her step-daughter Jessica Parsons of Maryland; her step-son Matthew Parsons and his fiancee Katelyn Wade of Martinsville, VA; niece Jaime Rosa and husband Edwin Rosa, their children Vaeda and Carlos of Elmer, NJ. Memorial Service for Holly will be held on Saturday, December 9th, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Salyer’s Funeral Home, 6327 Church Street, Chincoteague, VA 23336.
