James G. Bowles

James G Bowles, 73, of Chincoteague Island, Virginia, passed away on December 13, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Jim was born on April 17th, 1950 to the late Julian and Jean Felty Bowles of Roanoke, Virginia.  Jim was predeceased by both of his parents, his sister Rebecca Layman and his brother Dale Bowles, both of Roanoke, Virginia.

Jim is survived by his wife of 27 years, La Raine  L. Bowles,
a son, Jonathan Bowles of Chesapeake, Va., a daughter, Laura Hackney of New Port  News, Va., and a stepdaughter, Crystal Fisher of Chincoteague Island, Va. and five grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his faithful companion, Jessie James.

Jim was a retired Postal worker and a retired Master Sergeant in the  Air Force Reserves and for several years after retirement worked at Wallops Island Supply Company.
Jim was also a member of Accomack Lodge # 243 Chincoteague Island, Va.

Memorial service will be held on Dec. 20th, 2023, at 02:00 pm at the Masonic Lodge #243  in Chincoteague, Va.
