Jan Eichfeld

Jan Eichfield, 83, of Greenbackville,VA, passed away on January 2, 2023 at her residence in Greenbackville, VA. 
She was born on February 14, 1939 in Camden, NJ, to the late Ernest and Bertha (Ellinger) Eichfeld.
Jan was the Artist / Owner of Angel Wings Gallery on Chincoteague Island. She was a retired Nurse who staffed on international mission trips. Her art work and healing combined in service delivery through art therapy and teaching that touched the lives of many.  
She loved: God, her children, grand children, all of her family, church family, her horses and all of her animals, art, teaching, nursing and healing.
Jan is survived by her five children, Robyn TyTomi-Dalton of Greenbackville, VA; Tomi Holmes of Newport, OR; Hope Hewitt of Chincoteague Island, VA; Joy Neeley (Ken Davignon) of Jewitt City, CT; Todd William Holmes (Brenda) of Dover, DE; Grandchildren; Toshia and Troy Holmes, Ashleigh Williams and her fiancé Josh Taylor, Alyssa Brady, Anthony Holmes,  Morgan (Kevin) Zils, and Tammy; as well as Great Grandchildren, Colin, Carolina, Corbin-Lee, Aiden, and Aynslei.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings; Ernest, Hank, Bertha, and Raymond.  
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Salyer Funeral Home, Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev. Phil Benicoft officiating.
Burial will take place in the Greenbackville Cemetery in Greenbackville, VA. 
In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to Kibera Children's Fund or the National Humane Society; Services entrusted to Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. on Chincoteague Island, VA.
