Jane Aycock Speidel of Chincoteague Island, Virginia was called to heaven on the 3rd of May 2022. peacefully, in her home surrounded by loved ones.
Jane was born in Salisbury, MD on December 29, 1945 to the late Mary Elizabeth and William Calvin Aycock. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bill, daughter Karla and her husband David Quillen, daughter Kelly and her husband Dean Lewis, son Jesse Speidel and his wife Valerie, and son David Speidel and his wife Kristin, grandchildren Billy and Kristin Fox,Nathan, Camden, Carter, Peyton, Jordan, and Logan Speidel, Savannah Malone and her husband Cameron, and Indiana and her fiancé John, as well as her sisters Rosanne Conner and her husband Bobby, and Mollie Jo Westmoreland and her husband Scott; several nieces and nephews.
Jane was predeceased by her sister Claudia Murray.
In the earlier years of her life Jane showed her love for children when she ran a daycare/preschool, then working in the school system to ultimately becoming the secretary of the Elementary school for 25 plus years.She also taught the Praying Hands Deaf Class at Union Baptist Church for several years. Jane had three main loves in life: babies, her husband Bill and flowers. She also loved sewing; from making prom dresses for her daughters to making Halloween costumes for the grandchildren. In her free time, you could find her at Eastern Star or at church with her husband.
Visitation will be held Thursday May 5th at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. Chincoteague, VA from 7pm-9pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 6th at 2 pm at Salyer Funeral Home, Chincoteague, VA with Rev. Phil Bennicoff
