Janet L. Fisher

Mrs. Janet L. Fisher, 77, of Chincoteague Island, VA , passed away Monday, September 7th, 2009 while in the company of family members at her residence.
Janet was born in Chincoteague, VA on February 8, 1932, the daughter of the late Leon and Thelma (Birch) Jester.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church Chincoteague Island, VA,Daughters of Ruth Sunday School, and Accomack Chapter # 62 Order of Eastern Star.
She was owner and operator of Beach Road Motel on Chincoteague, VA along with her husband, Keith, for many years and drove the school bus on the Island for many years.
Janet is survived by a daughter Terri Fisher Dubose of Chincoteague, VA; a son Robby Fisher of Chincoteague, VA; a sister Iris Durham and her husband Jim of NC;two grandchildren Erica Lewis and her husband Daniel of Chincoteague, VA and Zack Fisher of Chincoteague, VA; Two Great Grandchildren Dylan and Logan Lewis of Chincoteauge, VA; two nieces, Jeannie Sappenfield and her husband Scott of FL and deAnne Birch of NC and special friend Lois Wimbrow of Chincoteague, VA.
Friends are also invited to call Wednesday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., where a Eastern Star service will be held at 7:30 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Thursday, September 10th, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held at Downing Cemetery, Oak Hall, VA.
