Jennie "Jean" DeWitt Obituary
Jennie Rebecca DeWitt, 93, of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away on January 15, 2025.
She was born on October 29, 1931, to Oliver and Hazel (Trout) Hertzel in PA. Jennie was a Beautician at Jennie's Beauty Shop. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Jennie is survived by her Daughter, Roxanne Hill (Nathan); grandchildren, Jennie (Hill) Martinez (Terrance) and Natalie Hill; great-grandchildren, Isaac Hill, Lillian Paige, and Cohen Haymond; great-great-grandchild, Olivia Joy Haymond; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Emmett F. DeWitt; son Harry Albert DeWitt; grandson Lee DeWitt; three sisters, Olive, Betty, and Fern; and her brother, Kenneth.
