Jerry Lee Daisey, 85, of Nassawadox, Virginia, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024. Jerry was born on Chincoteague Va. To the late Lula Bowden. He resided on Chincoteague Island his entire life. He was a waterman, a truck driver for Judge Trucking for over 20 years, and worked with quarter horses at Tom’s Cove for several years. Jerry is preceded in death by his loving wife of many years, Eileen Daisey, and a former wife, Carmen Penny Patton; stepson, Joseph Homa; his grandmother, Grace Daisey; his mother, Lula Bowden; two brothers, Jerome Daisey and Eugene Daisey.
He is survived by his loving son Jerry Wayne Daisey and his wife Sheri, their children Austin, Andrew, and Victoria Daisey. His loving daughter Carrie Daisey White and her husband Bryan White and their son Bryan White Jr. Carrie’s daughters Amanda Johnson and their children Emily and Sarah Johnson. Brittany Harris and her husband Omar Harris and their children Koli and Riley. Caitlyn Bass and Brooke Lawrence; Jerry also had a loving stepson, David Homa Sr., and his wife, Peggy Homa; their children: David J Homa Jr., his wife Samantha Homa; Beth Homa Ross, her husband John Ross; Christine Homa Mackey, and Brian Mackey; granddaughter, Jessica Thornes and her husband Woody; great-grandchildren Jacob Ross, Lauren Ross, Taegan Homa, Timber Homa, and Levi Thornes. Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love and lots of laughter. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service is planned for July 16, 2024, at Salyers Funeral Home at 2 pm, with a graveside service to follow at John Taylor Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
