Mr. John Garland Gaskins, 98, of Wallops Island, VA passed away Tuesday, February 16th, 2010 at his residence.
Garland was born in Wattsville, Virginia on November 5, 1911, the son of the late Twilley and Cici (Brittingham) Gaskins.
He was a member of Wattsville United Methodist Church in Wattsville, VA.
He was the widower of Bertha Gaskins.
Garland is survived by a daughter Althea Gaskins of Wallops Island, VA: a son Paige Gaskins of Wallops Island, VA; a grandson Mark Gaskins and Marcia of Wallops Island, VA; a sister Evelyn Plummer of Exmore, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call Saturday 1- 2 PM. at Wattsville United Methodist Church.
Funeral Service will be held at Wattsville United Methodist Church, 7423 Fleming Road Wattsville, VA, at 2 PM on Saturday, February 20th, with Rev. Maurice Enright and Pastor Freddy Ward officiating.
Interment will be held at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery Temperanceville, VA.
