John "Jake" Spence Jacobs

John “Jake” Jacobs gained his heavenly wings on Monday, July 17, 2023. He was born on September 16, 1962. He led an eventful and very full life filled with many friends whom he cherished, each and every one. If you were a friend of Jake, you were a friend for life. Although disabled later on in life, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He always had a smile on his face and never let anything get him down. He loved “wheeling” around Chincoteague on his scooter and talking to anyone he met. 

He is survived by his wife of 20 years Sandi Jacobs, Loving Father to Eugene Hill (Kathryn), Melissa Dillon (Paul), Jon Michael Jacobs, and Crystal Schorr; Loving “Pappa Jake” to Anthony (Destiny), Devon, Christian, Harley, Jacob, Nathan, and Brooklynn; Loving great-grandfather to Lily and Riley; Loving brother to Eva Hiller, Bill Dennis and John Quintana (Barb); Special Aunt Gretchen McGuire as well as many loving brother and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; special friend to Stu Somers.

He is also survived by his “Waterbillie Family” Colie, Jodie, Will, Staci, Tommy, Donna, Grant, Denise, Paulie, and Renee as well as many many more he called his “Island Family”. No services at this time. Celebration of his life to be announced.
