John "Neil" Cornelius Drewer IV

John Cornelius "Neil" Drewer IV, 41, of Cleveland, TN formerly of Temperanceville, VA passed away suddenly on February 19, 2022, at his residence in Cleveland, TN.  

He was born in Nassawadox, VA on March 16, 1980, to John and Ida Jane (Miller) Drewer of Melfa, VA. He graduated from Nandua High School with the class of 1998 and Eastern Shore Community College with an associate degree in electronics in 2001.  He was a devoted employee for 21 years for the Surface Combat System Center on Wallops Island, VA.  Neil was faithful servant of the Lord.  He wouldn't hesitate to help anyone in need.  He faithfully served on Sundays in the sound booth at church.  He was a devoted father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend.

He was a member of Chincoteague Church of God and currently attending North Cleveland Church of God in TN.

Neil is survived by his loving spouse Crystal Wessells Drewer of Cleveland, TN; son, Jacob Connor Drewer of Chincoteague Island, VA; sister, Dawn Forrer of Salisbury, MD; brother, C.R. LeCato of Onancock, VA; brother-in-law, Ed Wessells of Chincoteague Island, VA; Mother-in-law, Shirley Wessells of Oak Hall, VA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc., Chincoteague Island, VA.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, 2:00 pm at the Church of God, Chincoteague, VA, with Pastor Kevin Stanley, officiating.
