Joyce Faye Wilson

Joyce Faye Wilson, 78, of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away on July 20, 2024, at her residence.  

She was born on August 3, 1945, on Chincoteague Island, VA, to the late Dalton and Bertie (Peterson) Outten.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, VA. She worked as a secretary for over 40 years at the Eastern Shore Community College in Melfa, VA.

Joyce is survived by her loving spouse of 55 years, Harry " Buck" Wilson of Chincoteague Island, VA. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Royce Outten. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.

Burial will take place in the John Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
