Katherine Elizabeth "Kathy" Young

Katherine Elizabeth "Kathy" Young, 44, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away suddenly on February 2, 2018 at her residence.

She was born in Baltimore, MD on June 7, 1973 to Wayne and Wanda (Hyde) Henninger.

Katherine is survived by her loving spouse of 21 years, Dean Young Sr. of Chincoteague Island, VA; three sons, Justin, Joseph, and Dean Jr.all of Chincoteague Island, VA; daughter, Kassie of Chincoteague Island, VA; father, Wayne Henninger and his wife Pat of Seaford, DE; three sisters, Terri Redmond and her husband Erik of Onancock, VA, Debbie Spencer and her husband Dave of Raleigh, NC, Kristine Bannasch and her husband David of Baltimore, MD; father-in-law, Everett Young and his wife Lorelei of Springfield, OR; two grandmother-in- laws, Dana Chambers of Chincoteague Island, VA and Eula Bell of Chincoteague Island, VA; two sister-in-laws, Tracy Williams and her husband Jack of Chincoteague Island, VA, Eva Shallis and her husband Mark of Georgetown, DE; brother-in-law, Trevor Klugel of New Bern, NC; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

She was a loving and devoted mother and wife. She will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by Mother, Wanda Anne (Hyde) Henninger.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, 2:00 pm at the Salyer Funeral Home, Inc, Chincoteague, VA, with Pastor David Reed, officiating.
