Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth C. Johnson, 81, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away Tuesday, February 24th, 2009 at Shore Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox, VA.
Kenneth was born in Alexandria, MN on April 23, 1927, to the late Lyle and Effie (Collin) Johnson.
He served in the USCG. His greatest assignment was being stationed on Assateague Island, where he met Peggy and married her in 1951. He retired from Met Life Insurance Company after 30 years.
Kenneth is survived by a wife Peggy Johnson of Chincoteague, VA
two daughters, Joanne Ross of Jacksonville, FL.
Deana wife of Roy Howard of Chincoteague Island, VA.
a sister, Barbara wife of Jim Shortridge of Akeley, MN.
a brother, Bill husband of Mary Johnson of St. Augustine, FL.
Two grandchildren Stephanie McCall and her husband Fred of Chincoteague, VA and Alex Howard of Chincoteague, Va Two Great Grandchildren Caleb and Samantha of Chincoteague, VA and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call Friday 7-9 PM. at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. in Chincoteague, Va.
Interment private at convenience of the Family at John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery Temperenceville, VA.
