Lee A. Brasure,79, of Chincoteague Island, VA passed away Monday, October 24th, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, MD.
Lee was born in Chincoteague Island, VA on March 4, 1932, the son of the late Florence and Clarence Brasure.
He worked at Church Street Supply in Chincoteague Island until he retired. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves.
He was the widower of Joyce Lee Brasure.
Lee is survived by four children,Brenda Jester and her husband Jess of Kissimmee, FL, Thomas Lee Brasure of Ocean City, MD, Faith Nicholson and her husband George of Chincoteague Island, VA, Jason Brasure and his wife Dawn of Parksley, Va; five grandchildren, Stacey Hart and her husband Rob of Snow Hill, MD, Daniel Harris and his wife Jennifer of Blacksburg, VA, Connor Brasure of Parksley, VA, Samantha Nicholson of Chincoteague Island, Va, Matthew Nicholson of Chincoteague Island, VA; one great grandson due in December, Luke Daniel Harris; sister Olive Smith of Delmar, DE; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a grandson, Shawn Harris and two brothers, Carroll and Jacob Brasure.
Friends are invited to call an hour before the service from 1-2 PM. at Union Baptist Church in Chincoteague Island, VA.
Funeral Service will be held at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA, at 2 PM on Friday, October 28th, with Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held in Thornton Cemetery, Chincoteague Island, VA.
