She was the daughter of the late Mollie Lunn and Asher Walker.

She was born at home and raised by her mother, Mollie Lunn and later by her aunt and uncle, Clara and Charlie Daisey. She had 2 brothers, Paul and Archie.

She was presented a proclamation on 9/7/21 by the Chincoteague Mayor and Council celebrating her 100th birthday. She also received a plaque from the Accomack Board of Supervisors on 9/21/21 also celebrating her birthday.

She enjoyed traveling, getting together with friends and family, and reading her Bible. She enjoyed being a member of Union Baptist Church for many years and later at Island Baptist Church.
