Linda L Boothe

Linda Lee (Fitchett) Boothe, 74, of Chincoteague Island, VA went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2022 at Alice B. Tawes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Crisfield, MD.  
She was born on Chincoteague Island, VA on January 30, 1948 to the late Herman and Sweet (Shipe) Fitchett.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend; who enjoyed sewing, cooking, painting and many other hobbies. As the only child of a working waterman, her father ensured there was nothing she couldn't do, from scaling drum fish to building crab pots. Linda was particularly fond of birds and would spend many hours watching them. Linda was a member of the Union Baptist Church, Ruth Bible Class, Chancel and Baptist Women's Choir. 
Linda is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Bailey and her husband Tony, Kelly Horner and her husband Matthew, all of Chincoteague Island, VA, her granddaughters Lindsay Bailey and Megan Horner, of Chincoteague Island, VA; in-laws who she thought of as her own brother and sisters, Norman Boothe and his wife Juanita, Nadine B. Estes, Mary Ann Boothe and their families; and many cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Terrell E. Boothe.  
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 12, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA with Rev. Eley officiating.
Burial will take place in the Mechanics Cemetery on Chincoteague Island, VA
