Linda Sue Rush

Linda Sue Rush, 30, of Chincoteague Island, VA went peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Monday, March 22, 2021.

Linda’s focus in life was to be a beacon for others. Linda’s love for children was unparalleled. She never met a child she did not love, and she taught them how to love like Jesus. Linda lived to serve Jesus and others before herself which gave her true joy and peace. Linda’s smile was infectious, and she knew she could do all things through Christ who strengthened her.

She was born in Salisbury, MD on February 20, 1991 to Bryan and Arla Jo (Derrickson) Rush.

Linda is survived by her loving parents, Bryan and Arla Rush of Chincoteague Island, VA; Grandparents, Ernest and Debbie Rush of Laurel, DE; great-grandfather, Ernest C. Rush, Sr. of Horntown, VA Uncle, Gannon Derrickson and his wife Tanya of Chincoteague Island, VA; Three Aunts, Elisabeth Womack and her husband David of Richmond, VA, Stacy Green of Delmar, DE, Liz Elmquist of Ferndale, WA;Godfather, Tom Bentz of Chincoteague Island, VA; several cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Harold and Linda Derrickson, great grandparents, Harold and Emma Derrickson, Leonard and Audrey Calp, great grandmother Margaret Louise Rush, grandmother, Margie Bentz and Aunt Ebby Barbour, .

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, March 28, 2021, 3:00 pm at the Union Baptist Church, Chincoteague Island, VA , with Rev. Kevin Eley, officiating.
